Godalming Swimming Club is a non-profit making club whose primary aim is to improve competitive swimming ability and to offer competitive swimming against other local clubs, whilst retaining the cost of membership at an affordable level. The club’s ethos is built upon teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline and self-esteem, and it is hoped that each of our members will maintain and build upon these attributes throughout their lives.

The club was founded over 30 years ago and has since grown into a friendly, medium-sized competitive club. Swimmers train at Godalming Leisure Centre with senior swimmers training 5 times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The club attends local galas and competes in the Arena, Rother, Southcoast and Thames Water League. Other trophies we compete for are the Sprake, Gemini and Broadwater.

We compete at many galas throughout the year, which are held at our home pool or we travel away. We try to cater for all levels of competitive swimmers and vary the levels of competition we swim at, thus giving as many swimmers as possible the chance to compete for the club. We do ask that if your child is picked to compete that they do attend so that the whole team is not let down.
